July 20th, 2025 was nothing short of magical.
Foster & Fashion’s free floral creation therapy workshop was a day filled with healing, creativity, and community. The Tacoma Armory was transformed into a vibrant, blooming space where foster youth and families came together to create, reflect, and connect.
Guided by the warmth and care of our host, Alexis of Humble Events Seattle, participants tapped into their creativity and left with their very own handcrafted bouquet: a tangible reminder that healing can be beautiful, and that growth always begins in community.
Before diving into flowers, participants took part in a powerful guided journaling session led by our host, Alexis. The theme: How do our own lives reflect the lifecycle of a flower? From dormancy to germination, to seed dispersion and death, Alexis beautifully tied each stage of a flower’s life to the ways we live, grow, and bloom in our own light. This reflection gave each foster youth and parent the opportunity to walk away with not just their handcrafted bouquets. Together, they walked away with a deeper understanding of the natural ebbs and flows of life… And a renewed respect for the beauty and wisdom of Mother Nature.

Alongside meaningful reflection, light bites, and laughter, the workshop was a reminder that it takes a village to create spaces where foster youth can thrive.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Humble Events Seattle for hosting, Bel Ren by Altovise for sponsoring, Chelsea Tornga Photography for capturing the joy on camera, and our operations manager Damn Good Systems for ensuring every detail was flawless.

At Foster & Fashion, our mission is simple yet powerful. Here, we weave creativity and healing into the lives of foster youth, empowering them to see the beauty within themselves and their communities. On July 20th, we saw that mission come alive in every flower, every smile, and every story shared.
